Heike + Jasper
A love story carried by the sea... There are weddings that feel beautiful because of how they look, and then there are weddings that stay with you because of how they felt. Heike and Jasper’s wedding was both.
Their story has always carried a quiet sense of adventure. They love the ocean, diving, boats, travel, and the kind of moments that feel most meaningful when experienced side by side. So when it came time to imagine their wedding day, Labuan Bajo felt less like a destination and more like a natural extension of who they are.

The day began aboard Augustine Phinisi, in the presence of only 15 of their closest family and friends. On that day, Augustine Phinisi became something even more meaningful: a floating home for one of the most intimate moments in Heike and Jasper’s lives.
Surrounded by open water, their holy matrimony felt quiet, sacred, and deeply personal. There was no rush, no noise, no grandeur for the sake of grandeur. Just the sea, the people they loved most, and a kind of stillness that made everything feel even more tender.
After the ceremony, the day softened into one of our favorite kinds of Bajo moments.
While the guests enjoyed the sunset from Le Bajo, Heike and Jasper had a quiet moment of their own. Just the two of them, surrounded by open water and the warm light of the evening, taking in the first few minutes after becoming husband and wife. There was something incredibly tender about watching them from a distance — not posed, not rushed, just present with each other as the sun slowly fell behind Labuan Bajo.
It felt like the kind of moment the day had been leading to. A pause between ceremony and celebration. A little pocket of stillness before they returned to the people waiting to celebrate them by the shore.
The weather had its own story that day too. In true island fashion, the sky kept us guessing. But just when it mattered, the evening opened beautifully, almost as if Labuan Bajo had decided to give Heike and Jasper its blessing.
One of the most memorable moments came during the reception, when Heike played “Salut d’Amour” on the violin. The piece carried a personal memory from Vienna, and in that moment, the evening became something even more tender. It was not simply a performance. It felt like a love letter, shared quietly with everyone in the room.
Looking back, Heike and Jasper’s wedding was everything we hope a Bajo Maison celebration can be: personal, thoughtful, intimate, and full of heart. Not a wedding made to impress from a distance, but one made to be felt up close. A ceremony at sea. An evening by the shore. A celebration carried by family, friendship, and the kind of love that feels quietly certain.

To Heike & Jasper,
Thank you for trusting us with one of the most meaningful days of your lives. It was a privilege to witness your love unfold in a place that feels so deeply connected to who you are.
We hope your marriage is filled with the same sense of wonder that brought you both to the ocean — a lifetime of adventures, quiet sunsets, new horizons, and countless moments that remind you why you chose each other.
And whenever life calls you back to the sea, we hope Labuan Bajo will always feel a little like home.
With all our love,
